Autism Friendly
The visit bends around you.
Haircuts can be loud, bright, and full of surprise touch. We built a different kind of appointment for autistic guests and anyone who needs a gentler room — children, teens, and adults.

How a visit goes
Five things you can count on.
01
Tell us what feels hard
Noise, scent, touch, waiting, small talk, or surprise. A note on the booking form is enough. You do not have to explain your diagnosis.
02
We set the room first
Lights, music, and products are adjusted before you sit, not after you’re already overwhelmed.
03
Nothing happens unannounced
We say or show the next step — cape, water, clippers, scissors — and wait until you’re ready.
04
Breaks are part of the cut
Stand up, cover your ears, pause the clippers. The clock can stop. You will not be rushed out for needing a minute.
05
You leave when you’re ready
No bright send-off if you don’t want one. A support person is welcome beside the chair the whole time.

Check any of these on the booking form. You can also write it in your own words, or have someone write it for you.
- Music off
- Softer lights
- Unscented products
- Explain each step first
- Breaks whenever I need them
- A support person stays with me
- Headphones or a comfort item
- Picture schedule of the visit
All ages. No performance.
- A first haircut and a fiftieth one get the same patience.
- AAC, pictures, short answers, or no talking at all are all fine.
- A parent, partner, or support person can stay beside the chair.
- Comfort items, headphones, and fidgets stay with you.
- After 10am – 6pm, the salon is empty. Those private visits are $50 for the booking, plus $15 for each added hour.
You do not need a diagnosis to book this way. If a standard visit already feels like too much, ask for the quiet version.
